Robbers’ gang busted with arrest of two; four bikes, four mobile phones recovered, weapons seized

The City-1 police have recovered four stolen motorcycles and four stolen mobile phones from two members of a robbers’ gang. Some sharp-edged weapons used during the crime have also been recovered from them.
Police station incharge Maninder Singh said a case was registered against Varinder Singh and Akash, both residents of Sant Nagar, Shaminder Singh of Jammu Basti, a juvenile and an unknown person under Section 309 (4) of the BNS. The police initially arrested Varinder and Shaminder and recovered two motorcycles from them.
During the questioning of the suspects, Akash was also arrested and investigation involving the juvenile was carried out. From them two more motorcycles and four mobile phones were recovered. The cops recovered a ‘kapa’, ‘kirpan’ and a baseball bat also. The accused will be taken on remand and interrogated thoroughly.
The gang had also robbed Hussain Khan of Ajit Singh Nagar of a mobile phone and some cash recently. The victim runs a cattle shed.
