The state government has released Rs 68.95 crore honorarium for anganwadi workers and helpers.

Dr Baljit Kaur, Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development, announced the release of the grant and said the welfare of anganwadi workers and helpers remained a top priority for the government. “While we are dedicated to address the needs of various segments of the society, the welfare of anganwadi workers and helpers is close to our hearts. The CM has already announced the recruitment of 3,000 anganwadi workers, which will open new employment avenues,” said the minister. — TNS
