Rs 40K credit card fraud

Ropar, February 14

Some fraudsters withdrew over Rs 40,000 against the credit card number of an associate professor of the IIT.

A case has been registered against unidentified accused.

Victim Samresh Bardhan told the police that the fraudsters withdrew Rs 42,811 from his credit card account at 4.30 am on February 11. Soon, the bank blocked his card and it was found that the transactions were made from the US. — TNS
