Officials were instructed to complete all necessary arrangements and keep the administrative machinery on high alert as the monsoon season approaches.

Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Rupnagar, Morinda, Nangal, Chamkaur Sahib, and Anandpur Sahib have been directed to inspect dams, embankments, and canals within their jurisdictions and implement preventive measures as needed.

In addition, executive officers of municipal councils and nagar panchayats have been tasked with cleaning choes (seasonal streams), rivulets, and drainage channels to prevent waterlogging and reduce the risk of flooding.
