A Mohali court on Wednesday dismissed the bail application of sacked DSP Gursher Singh Sandhu in a corruption case. Sandhu is also an accused in the alleged facilitation of an in-custody video interview of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Sandhu applied for bail on January 10, contending that the FIR No. 33 registered against him by the State Crime Branch in 2024 was erroneous.

On the complaint of Mohali resident Baljinder Singh, a real-estate agent, a case was registered against him by the State Crime Branch on October 15, 2024, for allegedly misusing his official position to gain monetary benefits in connection with disputed properties.
