The SAD (A) will launch a campaign for the reopening of Hussainiwala- Lahore border for bilateral trade, and to further boost prosperity, peace, and economic conditions in the state.

Gopal Sidhu, party spokesman, said the call to reopen the India-Pakistan trade through the Hussainiwala border was based on economic aspects. He said the people from all walks of life, including farmers, traders and other stakeholders across Punjab, especially in the Ferozepur area, were are suffering due to the limited market access as the trade route remained closed.
