Sahney seeks MRTS for Darbar Sahib
Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab Vikramjit Singh Sahney today met Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today and sought a Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) to connect GT Road with Darbar Sahib in Amritsar.
Citing the daily influx of over 1.5 lakh pilgrims, he demanded a pod service similar to the one operational at Heathrow Airport in London and other places.
Sahney also batted for speedy completion of three critical bypass projects in Punjab — Sirhind Sehna Bypass (Mohali–Barnala), Zirakpur Bypass (NH7-NH5) and Green Field Bypass for Faridkot.

in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is
run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any
bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and
partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense
of the term.
The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
