Terming the police action against farmers as sheer violation of democratic rights, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan said genuine demands of farmers should be fulfilled and talks should be held with an open mind.

Condemning the barricading and fortifying the National Capital, Sandhwan termed this as a big blow on democracy.
