Owners of three houses, on whose properties a mobile phone tower had fallen at Bhawanigarh during a storm on April 18, have urged the district administration to make arrangements to remove the tower from their properties immediately.

They have also sought compensation to the tune of lakhs of rupees for the losses suffered by them.

Satish Kumar, a resident of Jain Colony, Bhawanigarh, has sent a representation to the Bhawanigarh SDM, Sangrur Deputy Commissioner and Chief Minister in this regard. He has demanded a complete ban on the installation of such towers in residential areas.

In the representation, Satish Kumar mentioned about the losses suffered by the house owners in the incident.
