Chandigarh, September 23

Senior advocate DS Patwalia was on Thursday appointed Punjab Advocate General.

His appointment as the top law officer came following the resignation by Atul Nanda from the post soon after Capt Amarinder Singh resigned.

Patwalia has primarily been practising on the Constitutional side and is known for his proficiency in dealing with service matters. He has also been handling criminal matters.
