The banned terror organisation, Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), is trying to arrange shelter for some of the killers of singer Sidhu Moosewala in Ambala in Haryana, phone recordings of US-based founder of SFJ Gurpatwant Singh Pannu with the two men arrested in Patiala on Tuesday have revealed.

The multiple audio recordings reveal that the SFJ is planning to plaster walls in Haryana with anti-India slogans on Independence Day besides disrupting the Independence Day celebrations in Delhi and Punjab, especially the functions involving Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann.

The Ambala railway station is also its target.

Pannu is heard talking to the two men about the finer details of the Ambala Cantt and Ambala City railways stations. He tells the accused to do a recce of the place, especially on gaining entry and planning exit. He tells them not to use the main routes.

Police and intelligence sources said the recordings had been found from the phones of Harvinder Singh alias Dollar and Prem alias Ekam, residents of Salempura Sekhan, Shambhu, who were arrested by the Patiala police for plastering the walls of a temple with objectionable slogans.

“The two were radicalised during their recent trip to Malaysia,” said an official investigating the calls. “Pannu in the recordings is talking about providing shelter to the killers of Moosewala besides the use of drones. Pannu’s voice has been verified,” the official said.

The audiotapes show that the SFJ is trying to exploit the sentiments of the Haryana youth telling them that Punjab Police under the AAP government was painting the Haryana youth as gangsters and naming them in the Moosewala murder case, “We will see how they touch you,” Pannu says in the recording.

Police officials said this confirmed the police suspicion that gangsters and radicals were working together.

Pannu is heard seeking to rent a safe place for three to four men who would be arriving from Gujarat, “Don’t talk about this to anyone, even to your family,” he repeatedly says over the phone.
