The SGPC has convened a special meeting of artificial intelligence (AI) experts, Sikh scholars and institutions to seek ideas for prohibiting videos and other content being made against the tenets of Sikhism. The meeting will be held at its office on October 1.
SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami appealed to people working in the AI field to email their suggestions to the SGPC at info@sgpc.net before October 1, so that these can be discussed at the meeting.
He said AI was being used to hurt religious sentiments of Sikhs. It was creating an atmosphere of conflict among communities. “Although the SGPC files police complaints in such cases besides taking other actions, it is necessary to formulate a strong policy based on suggestions received from AI experts,” he added.
