SGPC seeks govt nod to import Pfizer vaccine


Amritsar, May 10

The SGPC has approached the Prime Minister and Union Health Minister seeking nod for letting them import the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine from the US to treat Covid patients.

SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur said a letter in this regard was sent to PM Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan.

Bibi Jagir Kaur held a meeting with doctors at Sri Guru Ramdas University of Health Sciences, Medical College and Hospital, here. To fight against the pandemic, Covid care centres have been set up by the SGPC. Recently, it had inaugurated centres at Gurdwara Manji Sahib, Alamgir, Ludhiana and Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, The centres are providing oxygen to patients. — TNS
