SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur on Thursday said Charanjit Singh Channi was the CM of announcements only and his predecessor Capt Amarinder Singh good for nothing.
On the pending SC scholarships to SGPC-run educational institutions, she said both CMs made tall promises to release the amount worth Rs 41 crore, but not a penny had actually been released. She said the SGPC was facing great hardship as it had to pay salary bills to the staff from the “Golak” on account of paucity of funds.
Bibi Jagir Kaur, who was here to inaugurate the renovation work of Diwan Hall at Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib, said Channi had been making big announcements after taking over as CM, but practically he had done nothing to ameliorate the grievances of people.
On whether the SAD would make any Scheduled Caste as SGPC president, she said in Sikhism there was no place for casteism and all are equal.
She called upon the Centre to withdraw the three contentious farm laws, so that farmers could resume their normal lives.
