Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri booked in Amritsar for hurting Sikh sentiments
Amritsar: The city police have booked two persons for hurting religious sentiments in two separate cases. In the first case, Ranjit Singh, complained that Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri uploaded a video on July 3, in which he made indecent remarks against the Sikh Gurus. The accused also targeted prominent Sikh personalities, trying to disturb peace in the state. A case under Sections 295-A, 153-A and 506 of the IPC and Section 67-B of the IT Act was registered.
Meanwhile, Gate Hakima police booked Bhupinder Singh of Gurbax Nagar for hurting sentiments of Hindus. Hardeep Sharma in his complaint said he was national president of Youth Taksali Hindu Shiv Sena. The accused posted a video on social media, in which he used objectionable words against Hindu gods and goddess. SHO Gate Hakima police said a case under Sections 295-A, 153-A and 506 of the IPC and Section 67-B of the IT Act was registered. TNS
