Chandigarh, October 30

BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Saturday demanded that Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and PCC president Navjot Sidhu clarify if they endorsed the induction of 1984 anti-Sikh riots accused Jagdish Tytler as a special invitee to the Delhi Congress Committee.

He wondered if Sidhu, who himself had said that he barely escaped the anti-Sikh riots in 1984, now felt proud of being a Congress leader.

In a statement, Chugh said Tytler had been named as one of the key Congress leaders responsible for the killing of Sikhs in Delhi, but he, along with Kamal Nath and Sajjan Kumar, continued to be the blue-eyed men of the Congress.

He said all Sikh leaders, including Channi and Sidhu, owed an explanation to the people of Punjab.
