The event has been dedicated to the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak and has been organised by Delhi-based Jap Jaap Sewa Trust in partnership with the DSGMC and various sports and cultural associations. It aims at tapping the sporting talents of Sikh youths and tackling the problem of obesity through sports and physical activities.

Those interested can register themselves on www.japjaapsewatrust.com or on its Facebook page for different traditional and contemporary competitions including that of basketball, badminton, table tennis, hockey, chess, athletics, tug of war, shooting, cycling and power lifting. Cultural events will include bhangra, gidda, singing, stand-up comedy and other activities in which both men and women can participate. Events will be conducted at four venues. This is second time that these games are being conducted.
