The SIT includes IG Patiala Range Jatinder Aulakh, SSP Sandeep Garg, and Malerkotla SP. “After the six-day police remand of all three accused ended yesterday, we have got their police custody for three more days,” said the SSP.

Mohd Yameen, alias Bobby, has alleged in the FIR that his younger brother Abdul Rashid, alias Ghudu, (26) was killed on November 25 evening when he was attending his wedding function at New Rani Mehal Palace near Jarg Chowk of Malerkotla. Four unidentified youngsters had opened fire on Ghuddu and fled. When fleeing, the accused had also fired at the electrician of the palace, Arun Chauhan, who was also standing near Ghuddu.
