The state government is fully committed to provide a congenial environment to the differently abled, as it considers an article of faith to work for their welfare. These views were expressed by Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Aruna Chaudhary on the occasion of launching an updated website of the department.

The minister said the website, http//:sswcd.punjab.gov.in, has been made “divyang” friendly with many state-of-the-art features helping them to access information regarding various schemes of the department. The minister said the blind/partially blind would also be able to access information to be uploaded on the website at regular intervals.

Chaudhary added that while updating the website, special care had been taken to ensure that the design, content and the pictures uploaded could be accessed by the differently abled in a hassle-free manner.
