Former MP and chairman of Shri Prakash Rai Khanna Smt Kaushalya Devi Khanna Memorial Trust, Avinash Rai Khanna, organised an awareness seminar on water conservation at the Border Security Force camp, Kharkan, in which BSF jawans and officers participated. Speaking on the occasion, Khanna said that water is a priceless gift of nature but the continuously falling groundwater level was an indication of the dire situation that one may face in future.
Khanna said while soldiers of the country protect the borders, they can also make a big contribution in bringing about a water conservation revolution. Khanna said that soldiers are role models for the people. If the soldiers of the country make water conservation a part of their duty, it can create a revolution among the general public. Khanna said that the Trust is dedicated to water conservation and organises programmes to make people aware of the need for it.
SP Dewan and BSF soldiers and officers of camp Kharkan were present.
