A Rs 42.07-crore Security Operations Centre (SOC) will be set up in the state to protect critical IT infrastructure, including applications and websites of the government.
The decision was taken during the 19th meeting of the board of governors of Punjab State e-Governance Society (PSeGS) today. The meeting was chaired by Governance Reforms and Public Grievances Minister Aman Arora.
With the setting up of the SOC, Punjab will become one of foremost states in Northern India with high-level cyber security capabilities.
