Ravi Indora, the main accused in the Vivek Sharma murder case, was nabbed by a police team from Chandigarh and brought to Sriganganagar today.
Superintendent of Police Gaurav Yadav said that more than 20 people were involved in the crime and 11 accused have already been arrested. The remaining accused are being traced, he added.
Vivek Sharma (31) was surrounded and murdered by some persons near Sriganganagar District Hospital on the night of October 11. He was stabbed with knives and bullets were also fired. The murder was carried out due to a rivalry between two groups.
SP Yadav said that Ravi Indora is a very vicious criminal. There are 10 cases registered against him in different police stations. Yadav said that earlier Gautam, Manoj Manu, Abhishek, Shiva Kaku, Bunty, Amit, Akash Kumar, Sunny Nayak, Inderjeet, Abhi and Ravi Kumar had been held in the murder case and were in judicial custody. One of the accused in this incident, Bhupinder Singh Shera, is also absconding. A reward of Rs 25,000 each was announced on the arrest of Ravi Indora and Bhupinder Singh.
Before Vivek Sharma was murdered, there was a clash between two groups due to old enmity, in which two youths were injured.
