SSP-XI emerge victorious in cricket league
In the final match of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Premier Cricket League, organised by the HDCA in collaboration with the PCA to make the youth aware about drug abuse, SSP-XI won the title by defeating Doctors-XI by 4 wickets.
HDCA secretary Dr Raman Ghai said in this final match, Doctors-XI won the toss and batted first and scored 196 runs in 20 overs in which Dr. Gurminder contributed 64, Dr. Rahul Bharti 43, Dr. Rohit Rajat 30 and Dr. Rupinder Sandhu contributed 18 runs. While bowling for SSP-XI, Rakesh Roki took 3 wickets, Akhil Bali and Sandeep Mintu took 2-2 wickets, Captain Subhash Chandra, Tarlochan Rana and Lovepreet dismissed one player each.
SSP-XI came to bat with a target of 197 runs in 20 overs to win and scored 200 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 19.4 overs and won the title. Jatinder Lovely scored 60 runs, Rakesh Roki 34 runs, Sandeep Mintu and Lovepreet scored 30-30 and Tarlochan Rana scored 20 runs and contributed to the victory of SSP-XI.
Dr Hitesh Aggarwal and Dr. Sahil Adia took 2-2 wickets and Dr. Gurminder and Dr. Rupinder Sandhu dismissed one player each from Doctors-XI. Thus, with a huge victory, SSP-XI won the title of Jagruk Punjab Premier League.
In the final match played today, Hoshiarpur District Magistrate Aashika Jain introduced herself to the players as the chief guest and wished them all the best.
