The Tourism Department is developing an eco-tourism development authority for the development of Beas Conservation Reserve.

Replying to a question by Congress MLA Harminder Gill, Tourism Minister Charanjit Channi said with the declaration of the reserve as Ramser site of international importance, the state was developing it as tourism site.

In addition, the Harike wetland was also being developed. Efforts were being made to arrange funds from Asian Development Bank for tourism projects.
