Amritsar, February 3
Congress councillor Pardeep Sharma on Monday appeared before the STF in connection with the confiscation of 450 kg of narcotics and heroin from Sultanwind village.
The STF questioned him over the whereabouts of his son Sahil Sharma, who has been evading arrest since the seizure was made late on Thursday.
Sharma was summoned by the STF yesterday. He was interrogated for around six hours. The STF asked him about the Majitha road residence where the contraband was earlier dumped. Sharma said he had transferred the property in the name of his wife after separation several years ago. Sahil lives with his mother. Sharma said, “I told the STF that I had nothing to do with that property.”
IG Kaustubh Sharma also reached Amritsar and questioned Sharma, besides interrogating the six accused nabbed by the STF during seizure.
The house from where the contraband was seized belongs to SAD leader Anwar Masih. The STF had summoned him to join the investigation, but he has reportedly gone underground.
