In his statement, BKU (Rajewal) president Sukhjinder Singh said on December 24, he saw a tractor-trailer loaded with wheat and some empty vehicles were also parked near the Markfed warehouse. When he came back and suspected the midnight activity, the vehicle’s driver started running away. This raised doubts about the intentions of these people.

When he looked carefully, Avi Manchanda and Chhinderpal Singh, both residents of Abohar, and driver Sher Singh and 7-8 persons started running away. He suspected foul play and informed the police about the same. The police reached the spot and arrested Sher Singh, and impounded the vehicle.
