Sukhbir performs sewa at Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib
Sukhbir Singh Badal along with Bikram Singh Majithia, Daljit Singh Cheema and Sucha Singh Langah performed ‘sewa’ as per the directive of Akal Takht Jathedar at historical Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib today.
Sukhbir performed the guard’s duty at the entrance of the gurdwara and washed the utensils at the langar hall.
The administration made foolproof security arrangements. A large number of SAD activists led by Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna were present.
Cheema termed the attack on Sukhbir at Darbar Sahib as a state-sponsored plot to finish the moderate Sikh leadership.
Majithia sought a judicial probe into the incident and immediate arrest of SP Harpal Singh, who facilitated the murderer Narain Singh Chaura.
They said Sukhbir being a SPG protectee, names of the persons from whom threat perception existed were mentioned in the list, including Chaura.
They asked the Amritsar Commissioner of Police why Chaura was allowed at Darbar Sahib when Sukhbir was performing ‘sewa’. They said they had enough proof to expose the state government.
Majithia claimed that law and order had completely collapsed as SAD leaders were getting threat calls from foreign numbers and the callers were identifying themselves as members of the Babbar Khalsa International.
Speaking on the statement of Union Minister of State Ravneet Bittu, wherein he said SAD should honour Chaura, the Akalis termed Bittu as mentally deranged.
