Takht Kesgarh Sahib diwan hall turns into relief camp

Anandpur Sahib: The district administration has shifted all beggars and homeless at along with stranded labourers at a relief camp set up at the diwan hall of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib. Subdivisional Magistrate Kanu Garg said the medical examination of all 209 inmates had been done and none of them was suffering from any serious ailment. The diwan hall, situated in front of the gurdwara, is used for congregations. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
