Tarn Taran, March 16

Prabhnoor Singh (20), who had gone to the UK on a study visa three weeks ago, was murdered there under mysterious circumstances on Saturday.

Prabhnoor, son of Ajit Singh of Pandori Rehmana, had passed Class XII last year. He easily got a study visa from a reputed institution in Southall (UK).

Akwinder Kaur, sister of the deceased, said the family had pledged two acres of agricultural land for arranging cash to settle Prabhnoor in the UK. She said the family received information about the murder today.

Meanwhile, Salwinder Singh, former sarpanch of the village, and the family had appealed to the Ministry of External Affairs to make all efforts to bring back the body soon. — OC
