Narinder Singh, a teacher at Government Primary School (GPS), Jandiali, has been selected for the prestigious National Teachers’ Award-2025 for his outstanding commitment to quality education.
The award ceremony will be held at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on September 5. Singh will be honoured with a certificate of merit, a cash award of Rs 50,000 and a silver medal.
“This achievement belongs to my students, colleagues and the Education Department. I will continue striving to make a positive impact on the lives of my students,” Narinder Singh said.
“I began my journey in 2002 at a private school and later joined GPS, Jandiali. The environment was entirely different, but the students inspired me. We worked together on discipline, manners and etiquette, and there was no looking back,” he said.
Singh recalled introducing the Red Cross concept at Primary level when then Director Red Cross, Punjab, CS Talwar visited the campus.
Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has congratulated Narinder Singh. “His achievement is an example for educators. His innovative teaching, dedication and ability to instil love for learning among students are truly commendable,” he said.
