An alleged associate of Canada-based designated terrorist Arshdeep Singh Arsh Dalla, Navjot Singh, who is a key suspect in the murder of Sikh activist Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau in October last year, was allegedly thrashed in the Central Jail in Faridkot on Thursday.
Speaking over the phone today, Iqbal Singh, Superintendent, Faridkot Central Jail, said: “Some inmates clashed with each other in the jail on Thursday over some old monetary dispute, during which Navjot suffered a mouth injury. He is admitted to the hospital. Further, a case has been registered against both factions.” Meanwhile, Navjot’s mother told the media that his son was thrashed at the behest of a politician.
