A truck and tractor-trailer collided head-on on the Fazilka-Ferozepur highway today.
The truck driver got stuck in steering due to which his leg got amputated. The injured truck driver had been admitted to the Fazilka Civil Hospital.
Investigating Officer Ved Prakash said the truck was overloaded with apples. He said as the truck tried to overtake, it collided with a tractor-trailer.
In a separate incident, a speeding car rammed into Chander Shekhar and his wife Priya of Dharampura village, who were heading towards Khuian Sarwar village on a bike. As they reached the T-point, the car crashed into them. The passersby called an ambulance and got them admitted to the Abohar Civil Hospital.
