Three officials have been suspended by the Punjab government after a video of re-carpeting a road in Hoshiarpur in heavy rains had gone viral.

The Punjab Department of Public Works suspended Tarsam Singh, sub divisional engineer, Vipan Kumar, junior engineer and Jasbir Singh, also a junior engineer.

The video is of the road connecting Nangal Khiladiya and Sherpur village of Mahilpur block of Chabbewal constituency.

AAP worker Gurvinder Singh said that he asked the road workers not to build the road in the rain, but they ignored and continued.

He said that he would complain in this regard on the WhatsApp number issued by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann.

He said that the quality of the road is not maintained due to construction of road in rainy weather.
