Tractor-trailer falls into canal in Sriganganagar, one dead
Abohar, September 2
A speeding tractor-trailer fell into a canal today in Sriganganagar. A youth, who was driving the vehicle, died due to drowning.
The deceased has been identified as Naresh Jat of Chak 4-E village. His body has been kept at the civil hospital.
According to information, passersby saw a speeding tractor-trailer falling into the Perennial Canal Bridge. They called the police, which roped in divers to pull out the victim.
Naresh was found tied to the driver’s seat with a towel. He was taken to a private hospital on Sukhadia Nagar Road where doctors declared him dead. The post-mortem examination would be done tomorrow, said the police.
