Ferozepur, February 22

After more than 11 months, train services resumed today in Ferozepur division. As per information, 16 unreserved express trains in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir started chugging from today.

The trains which resumed today include four express special trains on the Jalandhar-Ferozepur route (up and down) (04633, 04634, 04637, 04638), Pathanktot-Jogindernagar route (04601 and 04602), Bathinda-Ferozepur route (04603 and 04604), Amritsar-Pathankot route (04611 and 04612), Banihal-Baramula route (04612 and 04613), Pathankot-Udhampur route (04615 and 04616) and Amabala-Ludhiana route (04503 and 04504).

DRM Rajesh Aggarwal said the trains would halt at all stations as per the schedule. He said since the fear of the Covid-19 was still there, all passengers were expected to follow social distancing norms and wear a mask.

Notably, the rail services were suspended on March 25, 2020, due to the Covid pandemic. — OC
