Tript Bajwa quits Punjab House panel on anti-sacrilege Bill

Congress leader and Fatehgarh Churian MLA Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa has resigned from the 15-member select committee of the Punjab Assembly, constituted to hold wider discussions on the “Punjab Prevention of Offences against Holy Scriptures Bill, 2025”, also called the anti-sacrilege Bill.

Bajwa submitted his resignation almost a month ago as he had to undergo a medical procedure. He is presently recuperating after surgery.

A notification on Thursday stated that his resignation was accepted on October 25 by Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan.
