Activists of the Truck Operators’ Association, Fazilka, took out a protest march from their office to the District Administrative Complex and presented a memorandum to the DC to forward it to the PM. PEDA, Gujarat firm ink pact for biogas plant

The Punjab Energy development Agency (PEDA) has signed an implementation agreement with Farm Gas Private Limited, Ahmedabad, for setting up of a plant generating 30,000 cubic metre raw biogas per day. Man held for theft at gurdwara

Muktsar: The Kabarwala police have arrested a man for allegedly stealing a donation box from a gurdwara at Rattakhera village here on Sunday. The box contained Rs 25,000. BSF seizes 2-kg heroin

Fazilka: The Border Security Force (BSF) claimed to have seized two packets of contraband heroin, weighing 2.270 kg, worth Rs 11 crore in the international market, near Gatti Bisoke border outpost on Monday. The sources said sleuths of the second battalion, during patrolling, recovered two packets of heroin wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, buried under grass across the barbed wire fencing. OC

3 held for firing on bizmen

Abohar/Sriganganagar: The police have arrested three of the four suspects, one in Moga and two in Hisar, who had reportedly indulged in firing on a businessman in Sukhadia Nagar on Friday.
