Punjab: Two-day seminar on deportations from Feb 22

NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal holds 3rd Monthly online NRI Milnee to resolve the grievances of NRI Punjabis • NRIs express their gratitude to the Government of Punjab for this unique initiative Chandigarh 19 February 2025: The Administrative Reforms and NRI Affairs Minister S. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal held a third online NRI Milnee today to address the complaints and concerns of NRI Punjabis at Punjab Civil Secretariat-1and personally heard the problems and complaints of NRI Punjabis through online Video-Conferencing. He highlighted that this is a unique initiative which was started under the visionary leadership of S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, Chief Minister of Punjab to sort out the grievances of NRI Punjabis forthwith. He added that no other state does such type of NRI Milnee for the redressal of NRI grievances. -- dpr punjab

Following recent deportations from the US, the NRI Sabha here has decided to hold a two-day seminar to discuss the situation and chalk out plans to help the youth expatriated from that country.

The seminar, which will be held on February 22 and 23 in Jalandhar, will be presided over by NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal.
The president of the NRI Sabha, Parvinder Kaur Banga said eminent scholars had been invited to discuss the situation and suggest way forward.

The body will also invite four to five deportees to share their experiences.
