Mining Department officials have nabbed two persons allegedly involved in illegal mining in the area of Noorshah village in Fazilka district. Mining Inspector Sonu Ram has stated that the mining team conducted a raid at Mauzam drain in the area of Noorshah village and arrested two persons identified as Jaswinder Singh, a resident of Moothian Wali village, and Chhinder Singh, a resident of Noorshah village, on the allegation of illegal mining from the drain.

The accused were handed over the Sadar police, Fazilka.

The police seized a JCB machine. The accused have been booked under Section 21(4) of the Mining Act.
