Two held with 3.33 kg heroin in Ferozepur

Two smugglers have been arrested by the Anti- Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) following the seizure of 3.33 kg heroin. The accused were identified as Joginder Singh (24) and Judge Singh (25), both residents of Machhiwara village in the district

Sharing details, SP (ANTF) Gurpreet Singh said following specific inputs, the ANTF officials along with the BSF, carried out a search operation on March 7 near Khunder Hithar village in the Mamdot area, and seized 2.64 kg heroin besides a drone (DJI Matrice 300 RTK).

A case under Section 21C of the NDPS Act and Sections 10,11 and 12 of the Aircraft Act was registered following the seizure at SAS Nagar in Mohali. “Following the recovery, the ANTF team began its investigation. Later, a trap was laid to nab the accused, during which the ANTF apprehended them and seized 699 gm heroin from them,” said the SP.
