Two travel agents booked for duping man of Rs11 lakh

The Garhdiwala police have registered a case against two travel agents for allegedly duping a local man of Rs 11 lakh under the pretext of sending him abroad. According to the complaint, Manjit Singh, a resident of Johlan village, paid Rs 11 lakh to travel agents Radhika Sharma and Jatin Sharma with the promise of overseas travel. However, the accused neither sent him abroad nor refunded the money. Acting on the complaint, the district police chief directed the Economic Offences Wing to investigate the matter. Following their report, a case has been registered and further action is underway.
