Two US-made pistols found near Indo-Pak border in Sriganganagar
In a significant development near the Indo-Pak border, two foreign-made pistols were discovered in a field in Sriganganagar district today. Official sources reported that the pistols were found in a yellow packet by a farmer near the Border Security Force’s (BSF) Chitrakoot Border Post area.
The farmer immediately informed the BSF, and officials rushed to the location. Upon inspection, the packet was found to contain two pistols, with “Made in USA” engraved on them. It is suspected that the packet was dropped by a Pakistani drone in Indian territory, although the intended recipients of the pistols remain unidentified.
At this time, it is unclear when the packet was dropped, and there is no confirmation on whether any other suspicious items were dropped alongside it. The BSF conducted a search operation in the surrounding fields, but no other items were found.
In the past, drones have primarily been used to drop heroin packets along the border near Sriganganagar. However, there has been a troubling increase in the smuggling of foreign-made firearms. Just last month, two pistols were recovered from a field near the Srikaranpur area, and earlier, two pistols were found in Kesrisinghpur. A local individual was arrested in connection with the latter case.
