Unemployed teachers block flyover

Hundreds of members of the Unemployed BEd TET Pass Union today staged a dharna on the Fazilka-Ferozepur highway flyover resulting in complete suspension of the traffic.

Protesters demanded that the state government should issue a notification for recruitment on 18,000 posts of all subjects of the master cadre in government schools. A protester said notification for the master and lecture cadre had not been issued for the past three-and-a-half- years.
