Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the AAP government, accusing it of betraying the trust of over six lakh government employees and pensioners in the state.

Warring said the government had failed to pay arrears pending since 2021, leaving countless families in distress.

“It is shameful that AAP needed an HC order to acknowledge its responsibility towards employees and pensioners. Their affidavit, promising to clear arrears worth nearly Rs 14,000 crore by 2029-30, is nothing short of a cruel joke,” he said.
