Abohar, August 6

The police have arrested five girls, including one Uzbekistan national, on charges of immoral traffic. The operator of the den and her son have also been held, while a customer was caught red-handed. The police also recovered condoms and Rs 45,000 during the raid.

Superintendent of Police Gaurav Yadav said Assistant Superintendent of Police (City) B Aditya, Purani Abadi police station in-charge Govind Singh Charan and Setia Colony police post-in-charge Sub-Inspector Sushila Meena raided Himanshu Sindhi’s house in Dashmesh Colony on the basis of a tip. He said Anil Arora (37) was caught red-handed in an objectionable situation in the house along with a 35-year-old Uzbekistan national. The SSP said other girls held in the raid belonged to Mumbai, New Delhi, and Gurugram. Himanshu Sindhi and her mother were arrested too.

The SSP said girls from different cities were allegedly brought for immoral traffic to Sriganganagar. Some residents of the colony had complained to the police in this regard. A case has been registered against all the suspects under the Immoral Traffic Act at the women police station. — OC
