A special vaccination camp was organised at the Senior Citizens Care Centre on Khera Road here as part of the ‘World Immunisation Week’ initiative. The camp was a collaborative effort between the Prem Nagar Seva Society, Nagar Council and the Phagwara Civil Hospital.
During the event, essential vaccinations were administered to pregnant women and children up to the age of five years to protect them from various diseases. The vaccination drive was conducted under the guidance of Civil Hospital’s Executive SMO, Dr Rajesh Chandra. Immunisation in-charge, Dr Naresh Kundra, along with team members ANM Sona and ASHA worker Meera, administered vaccines to 20 newborns and two pregnant women from Ward 21, Prem Nagar and Khera Road.
