Vehicle loan scam busted by CIA

The CIA-1 team has busted a vehicle loan scam, arresting four employees of a finance firm for using people's documents to fraudulently finance two-wheelers.

The accused, identified as Harjinder Pal Singh, Lalit Kumar, Deepak Kumar, and Pankaj Kumar, deceived both the company and individuals who trusted them with their documents. The scam was uncovered when the company failed to receive EMI payments. An FIR has been filed against the accused for cheating and criminal conspiracy. The investigation is ongoing.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
