Residents of Killianwali village on Sunday blocked the Fazilka-Delhi national highway outside the office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Lambi over the killing of Vikram Singh on December 6. They alleged he was killed after he opposed some drug peddlers. The accused were still at large, they alleged.
The protesters claimed the accused were also threatening farm leader Harpal Singh of dire consequences. Farm leader Gurpash Singh said, “A DSP came to the protest site and informed us that the main accused has been arrested. Thereafter, we lifted our road blockade.”
