The museum of Punjab’s culture and history of Sikhism, Virasat-e-Khalsa, bagged the first position in conserving energy.
The museum management was felicitated during the State Energy Conservation Awards ceremony organised today by the Punjab Energy Development Agency in Chandigarh.
Virasat-e-Khalsa has been adjudged for the top prize under the category of commercial buildings, sub-category of offices (government and private buildings). The award was received by Virasat-e-Khalsa manager-cum-Xen Bhupinder Singh Chana from PEDA chairman HS Hanspal.
Addressing the gathering, Director, Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Malwinder Singh Jaggi said Virasat-e-Khalsa had already got a place in the Limca Book of Records, India Book of Records, Asia Book of Records and more recently the World Book of Records for the record of maximum footfall of visitors.
