Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring today submitted a letter of apology for his remarks on Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh. Warring wrote that if he had inadvertently hurt the dignity of the great Sikh institution, then he bows his head and asks for forgiveness.

A few days ago, Warring had alleged that SAD chief Sukhbir Badal being declared tankhaiya (guilty of religious misconduct) and barring him from taking part in four byelections scheduled on November 13 was a scripted story. The Jathedar took it as an offence and misleading statement against Akal Takht, which is a symbol of miri-piri.

Later, Warring was asked to apologise failing which stern action would be initiated against him for speaking against the sanctity of Akal Takht.
